Client Success Story – 12+ Years of Reliable Operation of Transformers
with PTss Online Transformer Dryout Systems and Online OLTC Filtration System
We are proud to share the experience of our valued customer, Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL); an autonomous body under Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India at Mohali, Punjab, who have been using our PTss Online Transformer Dryout Systems and Online OLTC Filtration Systems since May 2012.
Installed on two outdoor 66 kV/11 kV, 8 MVA incoming power transformers, independently on both main tanks and OLTC tanks. Our systems have helped SCL achieve:
1️⃣ Moisture Content: Consistently maintained below 5 ppm without heating or shutdowns
2️⃣ Contamination Removal: Effective removal of conductive contamination and carbon particles down to 0.3 microns from OLTC oil
3️⃣ Oil Quality: Maintained well within specified limits, with clarity comparable to new oil
4️⃣ Operational Reliability: Zero outages related to oil condition over 12+ years of service
SCL reports that these systems have eliminated the need for periodic outsourced dehydration, reduced maintenance costs, and provided round-the-clock protection while transformers remain energized. They also appreciated our excellent after-sales service and recommend these solutions as a proven preventive maintenance tool for extending transformer service life.
